Both boys really like the water, but are so fearful of it at the same time. It had gotten so bad that we couldn't take them into a pool without them crying and clinging to us for dear life! We found a really great swimming program and enrolled them both. Gavin did not like it at all initially, and would constantly get out of the water, refuse to listen to the instructor etc.. but has since done an about face and participates and listens quite well. Cole has already advanced to level 2 and is really having a great time! We have gotten really lucky and Gavin has 1 on 1 instruction, and Cole since moving up to level 2 has 3 or 4 other kids in his group with 2 instructors.
